The Richmond Fellowship Society (India) Delhi branch- “VISHWAS” is a facility dedicated to supporting persons with mental illness (PMIs) and is situated in Greater Noida, near Delhi.

.

The growing need for psychosocial rehabilitation of the people suffering from mental illness and lack of such services in the northern part of the country motivated the Richmond Fellowship Society (India) to start a half way home and a day care centre in the National Capital region. The facility is custom built for mental health care and is located approximately 30 km from Delhi at # 30/3, Knowledge Park III, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh – 201310.

Structured programme to provide care, therapy and vocational training to people suffering from severe mental illness like schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

Day Care for people suffering from mental illness

Centre for group and individual therapy, counseling, vocational training, computer operations, yoga, art, music and dance.

Creating awareness, providing early diagnosis and treatment to people suffering from mental illnesses to the weaker sections of the society.

Advocacy for Mental Health

 

A department working towards removing stigma and breaking the silence on mental illness, by creating public awareness and promoting mental health in the community. Two outreach programs being carried out are at Bisrakh and Najafgarh in Uttar Pradesh.

Admission to the Richmond Fellowship Society (India) Delhi Branch facility at Greater Noida is made on the basis of recommendation of the treating psychiatrist. The suitability of a person for admission is assessed by a Clinical Admissions Committee.

The Richmond Fellowship Society (India) Delhi Branch has been providing psychosocial rehabilitation to the people suffering from mental illness.

Our objectives are:

To provide support for mentally and emotionally disturbed persons, to rehabilitate and integrate them with family and society

To create public awareness of the need to eradicate stigma and to enhance people’s understanding of themselves and the disabled

To promote mental health in the community

To collaborate and network with other organizations having similar objectives.
