National HQ

The National Board of the RFS (I) was formed on 21st May, 2001 after rewriting the rules of the Society to bring in the functions of the National Board and that of the Branches.

The National Board functions as an advisory and a coordinating body of the activities of all the Branches, establishing new Branches, strategic planning and liaise with Central and State Governments and other National and International Agencies. The Board has representatives from all the Branches with President and Secretary and elected members from each facility. Amongst these members, the National Board elects the Chairman, the Secretary General and Treasurer as its office bearers and others function as members.

The Bangalore Branch of the Richmond Fellowship began its operations in the year 1986. The core competence lies in providing quality psychosocial rehabilitation services for those suffering from severe mental illness.

The Richmond Fellowship Society (India) Delhi branch- “VISHWAS”, established in 2008 has an adherence to the Therapeutic Community (TC) approach for treating PMIs, through group participation and community engagements with the help of structured activities, peer support, and a sense of belongingness to the community.

The Sidlaghatta Branch of the Richmond Fellowship (India) began its operations in the year 2004. Since then it has provided free mental health care and support services to over 150,000 rural people in 30 Panchayats of Ramgarh Taluk. Their team of qualified professionals offer a caring environment for the people they serve. They are the only organization providing these life-changing services in this region.

The Lucknow Centre of the Richmond Fellowship Society (India) is known by the name Nav Uday Mansik Swasthya Sansthan (नव उदय मानसिक स्वास्थ्य संस्थान). The aim of the organization is to rehabilitate patients of chronic mental illness so that they can function in the community productively in spite of their illness.
